Audit Logs
Overview
At Medicus, we believe that real time, accurate data reduces the risk of every clinical encounter with a patient. It is this principle that underpins our approach to information governance of clinical data.
We have two main priorities in relation to the integrity of clinical data:
Presenting the most accurate clinical information in an easy to discover manner
Preserving the audit trail of changes made to the data for medico-legal purposes
Medicus maintains a number of raw database logs for our own compliance purposes and to help us debug issues with our customers. The majority of these logs are stored in your organisation’s database and they provide the minimum level of compliance that we aspire to.
In addition to this, we implement specialised IG features to make it easier to understand what has happened, respect patient privacy or preserve the integrity of data. All additional IG features are in addition to and, not instead of the raw database logs we maintain.
Raw Database Logs
For our own compliance purposes and to help us debug issues with our customers, we keep a number of raw audit logs (database transactions, API calls etc.).
